my partner and i have spent a whole year with appauling signal and now you are offering this uma for free, why could we not have been offered this? I have also brought another fone to see if the signal would be better, but to no avail, i find it really upsetting to know that you could have helped our situation with this uma technology,
This appears to be an advert. Else it’d point out the shortcomings of the UMA approach - like how it only works with a few phones (not the ones we have, of course!) where Vodaphone support ANY phone on their system by making a Femtocell available.
I have just called Orange with reference to no signal in areas with my mobile phone and was told there was nothing they could do to help! Go on Orange keep taking my money for the Contract and dont supply the service!
I live in the middle of a valley and have no mobile signal anywhere in house or in the village. UMA works through your wireless router, my brother is using it and it works well for him. I use the Vodafone suresignal which will work with any vodafone sim card in a 3G handset and havent experienced any problems with it, just connect it up to your internet router. I suppose the upside to UMA over the suresignal is that you dont have to buy the suresignal box.
